![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe I need to remove some files? Or uninstall Sound Forge, or RX8 or clear out all the VST files in the Common Files folder. ![]() But this didn't seem to make any difference.)Īny ideas of what I need to do? And could you please explain why the error is occuring in the first place. What's going on? (I even did as instructed and added an exception to the scan-server executable file in my ESET antivirus system, and also tried pausing ESET entirely during the scan. But I uninstalled RX7 and installed RX8 - and now the effect is missing. When I previously had RX7, the effect was there. Now, the strange this is that even if there is an error in the scan (and even when there isn't), I seem to have the same set of effects in my list. But if I then close down Sound Forge and start it again, then (after maybe one or two retries) the scan will continue and the editor will load. And there are times when it doesn't seem to matter how many times I retry, it just won't work. Other times, I might have to click five or six times, each time getting the "cannot start scan server" error again. ![]() Sometimes, if I click on "retry" then the error will disappear and continue on to loading up the editor. The problem happens each time I start up Sound Forge Pro. I also have the latest version of Izotope RX8. I've found posts about this going back many years, but there doesn't seem to have been a solution - and I'm getting this issue regularly with my Vegas Pro 365 subscription (so latest versions of Vegas Pro 18 and Sound Forge Pro 15). ![]()
